Charlotte Real Estate
Entry for January 30, 2007

Read recently that the Charlotte area home prices have appreciated some 14%. Not bad when you consider all the talk of the bubble bursting.

In reality it is nearly ridiculous to speak of a Charlotte market with some broad percentage. Charlotte is made up of so many areas, sub areas, sub divisions and pockets that truly a person has to become a real estate broker to have half a chance at understanding which area is doing what. The days of being a general real estate expert are gone. With Charlotte booming into a major metro area trying to serve the whole region is absurd. One of my favorite brokers knows so much about the Midwood area I am ever impressed by her ability to identify house by house the goings on there. That she often knows such incredible detail has been an inspiration for me. Slowly and surely I too am learning an equal amount about much of the South Charlotte area. For now I am very happy to work in areas like Heritage Woods, Provincetowne, Lakeside Acres, Providence Plantation and The Reserve.
